APRIL 24th 2022 Shoot
Dear Archers
What a wonderful day we had on Sunday at our Open Shoot.
We hosted 166 archers who all seemed to enjoy our course .
My thanks firstly to Mick and Dave for setting Pond Wood side and Paul C and Julie for setting Sandpit wood side.
To all those who helped on the work day at the end of February and those who worked to help finish in the following weeks
including John P, John C , Kevan and myself.
Thanks also to those who came along on the Saturday before and did the final preparation.
Thanks to Carol who takes all the bookings and makes up the groups and target lists, this is always a huge job.
On Sunday, everything went really smoothly, when I arrived at 7.35, all was underway with catering beginning to get into full
swing as the air was filled with the smell of sizzling bacon.
With lots of members marshalling and Barry and Stuart assisted by Karen running admin.
Pete and his team looked after the car park in their organised way and we were set for a good day.
Our wonderful catering team who did a sterling job keeping the archers and ourselves fed with hot food, drinks and
scrumptious cakes, thank you Ladies!
Thank you all very much for making this Duvelle Open shoot as good as ever, it's proof by the number of entries that our
shoots are very popular with NFAS members.
I know of at least 2 visitors who came from Northallerton and some from Lancashire.
It makes me proud to be chairman of Team Duvelle!
Most of all I should like to thank the archers who attended who made our day such a success and we look forward to seeing you all again later in the year.

OCTOBER 23rd 2022 Shoot
Dear Archers
What a wonderful day we had on Sunday at our Open Shoot.
Weather was pretty awful to start but improved as the day went on.
We hosted 105 archers with unfortunately 14 no shows and 14 cancellations but the brave souls who turned up all seemed to enjoy our course .
Thanks to all those who helped either on the work days or the Saturday prior to the shoot and to everyone who turned up 1st thing on a very dark and wet Sunday morning to help!
From all the comments as the archers were leaving we seemed to have done a great job and the course will be remembered for quite awhile.
There were several especially nice comments on all the work that Julie & Paul had put into their half of the Halloween course with all the decorations that gave soggy archers something to smile about! I think the sweets & lollipops were well received as well!
Most of all I should like to thank the smiling archers who attended who made our day such a success and we look forward to seeing you all again later in the year.
